New Haven Rewards Illegal Behavior With Legal Perks

As if the last holiday was not enough, now two and a half months after, Cinco de Mayo returned to New Haven on July 24th. As of that date, New Haven City Hall officially opened up for additional business, monkey business.

The city began issuing ID cards to its illegal immigrant population, and oh, by the way, other city residents can have them, too. How nice. That's kind of like Robin Hood justifying stealing from the rich by giving to the poor. It strikes me as funny that the ID card program was never a brainstorm until the spotlight focused on illegal immigrants. I may not know whether the chicken preceded the egg or visa versa, but I think I have this riddle figured out, and by the way, Mayor John "DeSocialist" DeStefano makes Robin Hood look like a piker.

DeSocialist was obviously perturbed at the real Americans protesting outside his office, by calling them names like "racist" and "nativist," which didn't sound very mayoral, and certainly, not at all gubernatorial. Tsk, tsk. Pay attention, Johnny. The name-calling tactic didn't work in this same argument on the federal level when the American breadbasket was so defamed by liberal Democrats and fallen Republicans in the Congress. It won't work for a miniscule putz like you, either, so stop embarrassing yourself, and just enjoy the photo-op and your 15 minutes of shame.

It's not at all racist to demand that the rule of law be observed by the illegal invaders you are protecting, who are not only hurting the American people, but their own countrymen, now languishing even longer on the waiting lists to enter our country legally because of these self-absorbed, amoral prima donnas. Many of us aren't liberals, which is why we don't like anyone who breaks the law, and race has nothing to do with it. As far as being a "nativist," the negative implication aside, if you are accusing us of loving our native land, then thank you for the compliment, and unlike you, we are proudly guilty as charged. If the freeloaders you are running interference for loved their respective countries as much, they would still be there trying to reform them, rather than coming to ours to pilfer perks that even some of us can't get.

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said that state and federal law trump local law. Then Slick Dick faded into the sunset, like red-faced MacArthur after leaving the woodshed from a paddle-wielding Truman. On the federal level, US Attorney for Connecticut Kevin O'Connor has been as quiet as a church mouse during a high mass. I don't need Nostradamus to read me any tealeaves here. Bloomy is beholding to the Democrat Party and the man he perceives to be his next boss. O'Connor is beholding to The Traitor In Chief, El Presidente Bush, who wants his North American Union (NAU) to go through without any speed bumps in the way. O'Connor probably also doesn't want to be the next US Attorney fired, and with a boss in between named Gonzales, who is sporting a brown nose for more than one reason, well, let's just say that even this pasty-faced Irish lad knows which side of the taco has the salsa on it. Meanwhile, justice is not only blind, it's dead. Just like with the adage, "Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink," we have illegals everywhere, and no cojones to be found. Both of you make me wretch. You should both be impeached for dereliction of duty. DeSocialist just handed you a gift on a silver platter. These idiots are now lining up to have their photos taken on ID cards with their addresses that tell you where to find them, and still, you sit idle. These illegals aren't "hiding in the shadows," but our cowardly, quisling leaders of so-called justice are. Maybe we should deport them!

DeSocialist is cashing in on the same buck (or peso) that's he's passing. Repeatedly, he keeps telling us that this boondoggle was his response to a problem ignored by the federal government, yet who screamed holy Hell when ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) pounced with raids? Besides, if he wants to address the problem Congress (and the President) is ignoring, than why not round up these illegals, as opposed to rewarding them for breaking the law? For that matter, if this is solely a federal problem, why doesn't he just sit back and remain neutral, doing nothing at all? This sugar-coated stench has nothing to do with Washington's mishandling of our immigration policy and everything to do with the agenda of an ambitious mayor who wants to be governor, a liberal who has no use for the rule of law in the first place, and a cunning politician who is placating a bank opening up shop in the city that has already indicated it will be a huge no-questions-asked ATM for the city's estimated 15,000 illegals to conduct business, collect interest, and launder their under-the-counter earnings to send home to their families, and thus to our future illegals. So much for all that drivel about how they will boost our economy.

DeSocialist is also either ignorant or defiant of his history. He denies claims that illegals from all over the country will now flock to New Haven, as some advocates are distributing maps to New Haven, some groups are encouraging illegals from other states to come here and, even if none of that was happening, the story made national news anyway. Oppressed blacks from the south migrated to the more liberal, accepting and industrialized northern states during Johnson's "Great Society." Where there weren't jobs, there were government perks. You don't have to "build;" simply "give," and "they will come." At least the blacks were legal and they were truly oppressed, unlike the teary-eyed double-talking scam artist leeches that have swooped onto New Haven already. It's a matter of time, but there is every reason to suspect that more illegals will come to New Haven. DeSocialist claims it won't happen because of the ID cards. The ID cards are not the issue, but they illustrate the sanctuary status of New Haven, and its declawed and defanged police force with it's hands-off policy on illegals under DeSocialist and his personal valet, Police Chief Francisco "Yes Sir, Boss" Ortiz, armed with a pistola on one hip, and a whisk broom on the other, lest Hizonner needs too have any lint brushed off his pinstripes when the microphones and cameras come courting. The census won't increase in New Haven as quickly and drastically as it decreased in New Orleans after Katrina, but given time, it will boom after this disaster like Houston did after the last one. At least Katrina wasn't a man-made disaster.

No one is talking much about crime either, but it is worthy of noting that roughly a third to a quarter of our state and federal prisons, especially in the Border States, are filled with illegal immigrants, many of them violent. Think about it. The cream of the crop has little reason to want to cross the Rio. The scuttlebutt in New Haven from the disgruntled cops oozing out from under Ortiz's thumb is that these "hard working people," "hiding in the shadows" are often instead lurking in the shadows to spring on an opportunity for criminal enterprise, and not to feed their families, but often their drug habits. However, in that venue, they are indeed, hard working.

It is a matter of time before the crime from this census overflows into the surrounding burbs. New Haven has been a city with an established history of placating criminals while leaning on victims and merchants, taxing working families out of the city while commandeering homes off the market to give housing away to dependents on the dole, and now placating illegal immigrants, who even have the audacity to complain about being called "illegal," beyond compromise and to the absolute peril of the city, region and our country at large. During the 60's riots, then New Haven Mayor Dick Lee was astonished that they could occur in a city as progressive as New Haven. Sociopaths from any ethnicity aren't known for gratitude. Make no mistake about it; this unleashed dog will some day bite its owner too, and sooner, rather than later. I call John DeStefano "DeSocialist" for a reason, not just because the name is catchy, but also because it fits. This detestable mutant to all that is good is not satisfied with ruining New Haven. Now he wants to ruin our state as well. Senator Trent Lott (R-MS) said that talk radio was running America when he was exasperated about the amnesty plan being thwarted by the majority of Americans who for once, refused to remain conveniently deaf, dumb and blind. Perhaps this is also the reason for DeSocialist's recent outrage in accusing opponents to his ID card program o being nativists and racists. Trent Lott had to learn the hard way. Never mind the name-calling, Mayor DeSocialist. Try a referendum among the legal citizens of New Haven, and then let's see who is really in charge. That will never happen, though. For all their hype about it, no one fears granting true freedom more than liberals. I couldn't care less if ICE ever raids a New Haven neighborhood again. Mayor DeSocialist and his administration are aiding and abetting a federal crime with both impunity and apparently, immunity. If ICE wants to conduct a raid, let it be next in New Haven City Hall, and then give those Elm City "nativists" their "native" Elm City back. They are, after all, "Native-Americans," and legally so.
