Hillary Clinton Should Be Fired! By Tim Siggia October 19, 2009 "Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty." -- Ronald Reagan Though I retired from the Navy in 1991 at the grade of Chief Journalist, I did not always serve in the Journalist rating. My first 13 years were spent in the Radioman rating, which today is known as that of Information Systems Technician. Navy radiomen (or IT's, as they're called today) are communicators who process, transmit, and receive messages, many of which are classified. At the top of the list of cardinal sins for radiomen is the compromise of classified information, and whether this happens by accident or design, it is met with serious disciplinary action for those directly involved, and the consequences for our national security could be anywhere from prejudicial to grave, depending on the level of classification compromised. On May 20, 1985, retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer John Walker was convicted of spying for the Soviet Union, along with his son Michael and a third accomplice, retired Senior Chief Radioman Jerry Whitworth. Walker's activities consisted largely of the sale of classified information to Soviet operatives within the United States. Those activities resulted in serious breaches of national security, and earned Walker a life sentence in federal prison. He will be eligible for parole on May 20, 2015, after having served 30 years of that sentence. Yet what Walker and his cohorts did pales in comparison with what was done recently by our secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, who, in a meeting with Russian officials, agreed to allow Russian inspection of our entire missile defense system. Such a tipping of the hand places our entire national security in serious jeopardy, and stands as a stellar example of why I never have wanted Hillary Clinton anywhere within 1,000 miles of the White House. Ronald Reagan never would have allowed it. Neither would Richard Nixon, George H. W. Bush, or George W. Bush have allowed it. Even our only unelected president, Gerald Ford, never would have allowed it. And most certainly the president who to this day stands as an icon of the Democrat Party -- John F. Kennedy -- never would have allowed it. Any responsible president would negate this scurrilous agreement RIGHT NOW, and IMMEDIATELY remove Secretary Clinton from her cabinet post. She is clearly and obviously unworthy of it, and has no business holding it. Unfortunately, however, right now we do not have a responsible president. In our media-generated, emotion-driven zeal to elect a president who was not George W. Bush, we elected as president a United States Senator who, until his much ballyhooed introduction as "The One" by a giddy Oprah Winfrey, was so unknown that he was once mistakenly referred to by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy as Sen. Osama bin Laden. Buying his nebulous offers of "hope" and "change," we elected as our president a man who had never run anything, never led anything, never been in charge of anything, and who started out as a "community organizer," i.e., a professional rabble rouser. We elected as our president a communist who even now is working to tear down the America we have all known and loved, by apologizing to the world for the things that have made America a great and respected world leader among nations, and by doing everything possible to weaken our military and our defense posture, and to replace that America with a replication of the Soviet Union. We elected as our president a Saul Alinsky disciple who has freely associated with anti-American radicals and known terrorists, and whose wife has said in so many words that she was never proud of her country until her husband became a candidate for president. We elected as our president a globalist who thinks of himself not as an American but as a "post-American," and seeks to offer up our national autonomy on the altar of internationalism and the "New World Order." We elected as our president an unabashed power grabber who has nationalized the banks, part of the insurance industry, and two-thirds of the automotive industry, and has conferred almost limitless power to over 30 appointed "czars" who are accountable to no one but himself. We elected as our president a media-manufactured demigod, blindly and mindlessly idolized by sycophantic worshippers, who sees both himself and his administration as above reproach, above criticism, and whose actions are never, under any circumstances, ever to be questioned. Any responsible president would immediately fire Hillary Clinton, but this president won't -- not only because he himself endorses Clinton's actions, but also because he is supported by a Democrat Congress whose radical leaders eagerly join him in pursuing an agenda of far-left extremism unprecedented in American history. Hillary Clinton is in fact only part of a problem which goes much deeper, permeating both the executive and legislative branches of our government. In just a little over a year, the people can take the first step in correcting this abysmal situation by firing the Congress -- and they should. Unfortunately, a great deal of damage can be done in a year's time. Barack Obama, his radical inner circle, and the far-left Democrat extremists in Congress know this full well -- and they fully intend to inflict as much damage to our country as they can while they can, before we the people finally get our chance to take our country back. |
