Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences -A Book Review By David M. Huntwork
I had decided that I was through writing book reviews. They simply took too long to do compared to a normal column and were much too time consuming in a life full of children, work, etc. That recent decision was quickly reversed when I received the request to review Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences by author Frosty Wooldridge. Frosty e-mailed me a list of chapter titles and then and there I decided that here was a book that was not only worth reviewing but definitely worth reading. I was not disappointed in my decision. Mr. Wooldridge stakes out a bold position on a subject matter that is extremely controversial, important, and politically incorrect. The massive national problem of illegal immigration is one that directly affects us all. The compromising of our borders and, subsequently, as our identity as a people and as a nation are grandiose in scope and have vast implications. It affects every single one of us on a daily basis whether one realizes is or not. Reading Immigration's Unarmed Invasion solidified what I have always suspected and felt was true. It is a well documented, irrefutable description of the damage massive immigration, both legal and illegal, has perpetrated on American society, culture and economy. Immigration's Unarmed Invasion stands nearly alone in its genre. Few have taken the bold step to unhesitantly and truthfully examine the damage and consequences of the tens of millions of immigrants who have entered, both legally and illegally, since the 'Immigration Reform Act' of 1965. It is an extremely hard hitting look at a nation that once shared a common dream and culture that has replaced assimilation with balkanization, a common language with the tower of Babel, and Americanization with Multiculturalism. I found the first half of Immigration's Unarmed Invasion to be absolutely riveting. The plain facts presented are enough to make your blood boil and is at times almost painful to read. The old adage that 'the truth hurts' certainly applies here. Drawing on his own personal experiences as well as accounts by nurses, border agents, social workers, law enforcement, educators and scientists, Frosty combines front line accounts with hard facts and figures to round out his look at the alien invasion of the USA. A powerful and striking speech by former Colorado Dick Lamm is included and alone would make Immigration's Unarmed Invasion a must read. Though I disagree with much of my former governor's political views his synopsis of illegal immigration was strikingly amazing. One citizen raped, murdered, intimidated, or robbed by an illegal immigrant is intolerable. One child relegated to a third rate education, hooked on narcotics or taught white guilt or cultural shame is one too many. This is our country and we intend to keep it. Frosty provides a remarkable list of organizations, movements and contacts for those who want to fight to protect their borders, culture, language and national integrity. Chapter 31 is entitled 'How to Save America' and provides a common sense agenda of things that must be changed if America is to retain its central character and reverse the profound catastrophe of illegal immigration. The fact that those here illegally overflowing our prisons, filling our hospitals, bankrupting our cities, suppressing our wages, crowding our classrooms, congesting our streets, and enclaving themselves in our society have actually become a political power that are coddled by spineless politicians is a vicious indictment of the decay in our society. Compassion has become complacency and generosity has become robbery. As we watch the first world flooded by the third world, the nation as a whole, and we who are footing the bill and paying the consequences for this national invasion, must shake off the bonds and oppression of the politically correct and call a spade a spade. Frosty's description of the results this avalanche of humanity has had on this nation was eye opening. With devastating thoroughness the nasty reality of poverty, disease, gangs, violence, drugs, wage suppression and job displacement, economic chaos and classroom disruptions due to the wave of immigration is examined in a brutally honest fashion. This is not a book for intellectual lightweights or the politically correct pompous among us. To be fair, I didn't agree with every conclusion Frosty draws regarding global population, environmentalism, birth control, and the occasional potshot at the Iraq war, but the tangents are few and do not draw away from the importance and impact of Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences primary premise, impact and subject matter. Ordinary citizens must not tolerate any politicians or bureaucrats who seek to protect, harbor, aid or abet those who daily flaunt the laws of this country and drain its resources at the expense of those who have citizenship and pay the taxes. The land of the free and the brave should not become the nation of language chaos and cultural confusion. It used to mean something to say 'I am an American'. Let's keep it that way. Your first step is to purchase and read Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences. Your second is exercise your righteous indignation and stand up and defend your communities from foreign invasion with all your passions, talents and abilities. Reject hyphenated Americanism and the 'isms' that wage unending war upon the foundations and accomplishments of Western Civilization. If you have the slightest interest in the public policy process, read this book. If you want an uncensored view into the world of corporate greed and political treason then do yourself a favor and read this book. If you have an interest in providing a safe neighborhood for your children, an intact tax base for your community, adequate health care for your family and an educated understanding of immigration and its consequences, read this book. My fellow Coloradoan Frosty Wooldridge is a self described, teacher, former US army officer, environmentalist, bicyclist and author. He has written many articles and several other books on the immigration issue. Frosty's personal web site can be viewed at www.FrostyWooldridge.com. |
